Will the next roads in the Netherlands be made of grass? Or to be more precise: elephant grass? It may take a mind switch for most us, but if you ask Marcel, this could be the case. He and his colleagues have developed an innovative blend of asphalt in which part of the contents are replaced by the fastgrowing and CO2-friendly elephant grass.

How these crops, which can be used for multiple purposes, helps creating the roads of the future, will be the highlighted in Marcel’s talk.
